Why Keswick Homeowners Pick Integrity Design + Build

There’s a version of a kitchen remodel that just swaps old for new, and there’s a version that rethinks how the room works. The second one is harder, takes more planning, and produces a kitchen you stop noticing problems in because the problems are gone. Getting there means starting with how you cook, host, and move through the space, then designing around that rather than around whatever the original builder happened to draw.

Integrity approaches every kitchen that way. The design phase digs into the actual workflow, the renderings let you test-drive the layout in 3D before committing, and the construction phase brings it to life with one team handling cabinets, counters, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances in sequence. Two decades of work and 100-plus kitchens later, that integrated approach is what keeps projects on schedule and on budget.

The materials hold up their end too. Cabinets are solid wood with dovetail drawers, counters are quartz and natural stone selected for daily wear, and the whole build sits under a 15-year structural warranty with a standing commitment to fix anything that falls short later.

Pretty much a full first floor remodel with complete kitchen redo. Integrity really spent a lot of planning time on working through some complex challenges to what we wanted and their creativity and engineering really came through

Our expanded kitchen is unique, functional and perfect! Came in on budget with extras!

We have used Integrity for two large remodeling projects and are about to have them work on a third. The first was reflooring the entire first floor and complete kitchen remodel, with a couple of tricky elements.

The job was done in the original time estimate, with Rob a superb site manager. The second was master bath and closet renovation.

We have friends that used another firm and had serious issues with a lipless shower entry renovation, but Integrity took all the right steps with excellent tile work

John made specialty drawers for the walk-in closet. We couldn’t be happier with the entire process from upfront discussions, contract, management, subcontractor use, and follow-up on punch list. We have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

Cost of Kitchen Remodeling in Keswick

What a Keswick kitchen costs depends almost entirely on how far you take it. These three completed Integrity kitchens mark out the range from elevated-standard to fully custom:
Project Size Scope Highlights Cost
Kitchen Remodel (Ruckersville) 198 sq ft BBG White Ice Granite quartz counters, Florida Tile porcelain floor, Ragno backsplash, J&K traditional solid wood cabinetry, Delta Essa pull-down faucet, pendant lighting $73,000
Relocated Kitchen (Charlottesville) Full layout change J&K E1 Dove cabinetry, Statuary Classic quartz, tankless water heater, fireclay farmhouse sink, new electrical and plumbing throughout $81,000
Premium Kitchen (Charlottesville) Design-forward Hilite Calacatta Statuary quartz, J&K Maple cabinetry with in-drawer charging, designer pendants, Hansgrohe faucet, Blanco SILGRANIT sink, soundproofed wall, refinished oak floors $140,000
For planning purposes, Keswick kitchen projects generally sort into three tiers:
Where your project lands inside that range comes down to a handful of choices. Cabinetry tends to claim the largest share of any kitchen budget, and the jump from stock to custom solid wood is steep. Counter selection is the next big swing, since a name-brand quartz slab can cost several times what a basic one does at the same size. Then there’s layout: keeping the sink and stove where they are is cheap, while moving them means new plumbing and wiring runs that added $25,000 on one recent project. Appliances and lighting round it out, with integrated and pro-grade options sitting well above the standard versions.

Kitchen Projects That Stay on Schedule and Within Budget

A kitchen remodel is a substantial decision, and a well-managed project removes most of the stress that comes with it. The team plans carefully on the front end and runs the work on a schedule you can plan your life around, so the project finishes when expected and lands at the number you signed up for.

Budget: Think of a remodeled kitchen as a daily-use upgrade rather than a one-time cost. The kitchen gets used multiple times a day, every day, for the next 15 to 20 years. Spread across that timeline, the investment becomes one of the best per-day-of-enjoyment decisions a homeowner makes.

Timeline: The team respects your space and your routine. Crews arrive when they say they will, keep the work area clean, and finish on the schedule mapped out during the consultation. Most full kitchen remodels wrap in 6 to 8 weeks of active construction, with the broader timeline (including design and permits) running up to 6 months.

What Keswick Homeowners Tend to Ask

For 6 to 8 weeks on most projects, the kitchen is out of commission. We help you rig up a temporary setup somewhere else in the house so meals don’t become a daily problem, and we keep the work zone contained and clean.
You can. The 3D renderings during design let you move things around on screen, swap finishes, and settle the layout before any demolition happens.
Yes, solid wood with dovetail-jointed drawers, in a range of styles. The cheaper particleboard construction that loosens up over a few years isn’t something we install.
In nearly every case. It only changes if you decide to add something or we run into a hidden issue behind a wall, and either way we discuss it with you first.
Absolutely. Opening up walls, repositioning the island, moving the sink, even relocating the entire kitchen are all within scope, with engineering handled in-house when walls are load-bearing.
We handle the full administrative side, from permit applications to inspection scheduling to coordinating every trade partner.
Fifteen years on structural components, three on finishes, and a commitment to make right anything that falls short even after those windows close.

Keswick lies just east of Charlottesville in Albemarle County, a pocket of central Virginia known for its horse farms, country estates, and homes set on generous acreage. The housing here ranges from historic properties to more recent custom builds, and kitchens across that spread often need either a full modernization or a layout that finally fits how the household lives. The County of Albemarle oversees local permitting, and the Commonwealth of Virginia sets the residential building code our work meets. Our office is a short drive west on Berkmar Circle in Charlottesville.
