Bathroom Remodeling Contractor in Lake Monticello, VA

Plenty of Lake Monticello homes still have their original bathrooms, and after a few decades, those rooms are usually ready for a real change. Integrity Design + Build remodels them properly, with a 15-year structural warranty standing behind the work.

Why Lake Monticello Homeowners Pick Integrity Design + Build

Here’s the thing about bathroom remodels: the parts that go wrong are almost always the parts you can’t see. A bathroom can look beautiful on the surface and still be quietly rotting behind the tile if the waterproofing was rushed.

That’s the difference an experienced crew makes, and it’s why the contractor you pick matters more than the fixtures you fall in love with.

Integrity has been remodeling bathrooms around Lake Monticello and the wider central Virginia area for over twenty years, with 150 of them finished and counting. The team keeps the whole thing under one roof, which makes the experience a lot less stressful than juggling a designer, a plumber, and a tile guy who all blame each other when something goes sideways.

What you really get is a bathroom that holds up. The waterproofing goes in right, the plumbing meets code, the tile gets set to last, and the whole space still looks great a decade later. That last part is what the 15-year structural warranty is really about.

We hired Integrity to do a small construction project building a wall between two separate showers. It was an unusual starting place with two distinct showers but no privacy.

The wall was build and tile installed and walls painted. It looks like it was originally built this way! The tile is a perfect match. The project was completely quickly as projected. We are thrilled with our two “new showers!”

Because we couldn’t live in the home during the project integrity’s use of the BuilderTrend software made communication easy and we loved the photos posted so we could see the progress.

Have already hired Integrity to do a more extensive plan for renovating our home.

We have used Integrity for two large remodeling projects and are about to have them work on a third. The first was reflooring the entire first floor and complete kitchen remodel, with a couple of tricky elements.

The job was done in the original time estimate, with Rob a superb site manager. The second was master bath and closet renovation.

We have friends that used another firm and had serious issues with a lipless shower entry renovation, but Integrity took all the right steps with excellent tile work

John made specialty drawers for the walk-in closet. We couldn’t be happier with the entire process from upfront discussions, contract, management, subcontractor use, and follow-up on punch list. We have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

Bathroom Projects That Stay on Schedule and Within Budget

A bathroom remodel is a substantial decision, and a well-managed project removes most of the stress that comes with it. The team plans carefully on the front end and runs the work on a schedule you can plan your life around, so the project finishes when expected and lands at the number you signed up for.

Budget: Think of a remodeled bathroom as a daily-use upgrade rather than a one-time cost. You’ll start every morning in this space for the next 15 to 20 years, and the room contributes meaningfully to home value when it’s time to sell. Spread across that timeline, the investment becomes one of the smartest home decisions you make.

Timeline: The team respects your space and your routine. Crews arrive when they say they will, keep the work area clean, and finish on the schedule mapped out during the consultation. A cosmetic refresh wraps in 1 to 2 weeks of construction, while a full custom master bath averages 10 to 12 weeks.

A Few Things Lake Monticello Homeowners Usually Want to Know

Almost never. The crew keeps everything contained to the bathroom and cleans up at the end of each day. If it’s your only bathroom, we’ll plan the schedule carefully so you’re not stuck without one for long.
A simple refresh wraps in a week or two. A full custom master bath usually runs 10 to 12 weeks. You’ll get a real schedule at the consultation, not a vague guess.
Definitely. Jeff builds out 3D renderings so you can see exactly how it’ll look and feel. You sign off on everything before the first tile comes down.
Good instinct, because that’s where corners get cut most often. We do it properly behind every wall and under every tile, which is exactly what keeps your bathroom solid for the next twenty years.
Yes. After 150 bathrooms, tailoring the scope and materials to a specific number is something we’re genuinely good at, and we put every cost in writing so nothing sneaks up on you.
Rarely. The only times it does are if you add something or we find a hidden issue behind a wall, and we talk both through with you before anything moves forward.
All of it. Permits, inspections, scheduling the trades, and the whole administrative headache stay on our side so you can focus on picking finishes.

(takes 1-2 min)

Lake Monticello is an established lakeside community in Fluvanna County, just east of Charlottesville, with a big share of homes built from the 1970s through the 1990s as weekend places and retirement properties. A lot of those homes still carry their original bathrooms, which makes the area a natural fit for the kind of full remodel that brings a dated space up to current standards. The Fluvanna County building department handles permitting for the area, and the broader Commonwealth of Virginia sets the residential code that our work meets. Our office is a short drive away on Berkmar Circle in Charlottesville.
