Kitchen Remodeling Contractor in Lake Monticello, VA
A kitchen that fights you every morning is worth fixing. Integrity Design + Build has remodeled 100+ kitchens across central Virginia, each one backed by a 15-year structural warranty.
Why Lake Monticello Homeowners Pick Integrity Design + Build
A kitchen reveals its flaws slowly. The cabinet door that never quite closed right. The counter space that runs out the second two people are cooking. The outlet that’s always just out of reach. None of it is a crisis on its own, but a few years in, the whole room starts working against you instead of for you, and that’s usually when the remodeling conversation starts.
The hard part of a kitchen project is that it touches more of the house than any other remodel. Cabinets, counters, plumbing, gas, electrical, flooring, lighting, and appliances all have to come together in the right order, and a misstep in one trade bbacks up all the others.
That coordination is exactly what trips up homeowners who try to manage a kitchen remodel themselves, and it’s why the firm you hire matters as much as the finishes you choose.
Integrity runs the whole thing as one operation, from the first 3D rendering through the final walkthrough. Two decades in, 100+ kitchens done, and a single team accountable for every piece of it.
The solid wood cabinets come with dovetail drawers, the materials get chosen to last decades rather than photograph well for a season, and the warranty stands behind all of it for 15 years.

We have used Integrity for two large remodeling projects and are about to have them work on a third. The first was reflooring the entire first floor and complete kitchen remodel, with a couple of tricky elements.
The job was done in the original time estimate, with Rob a superb site manager. The second was master bath and closet renovation.
We have friends that used another firm and had serious issues with a lipless shower entry renovation, but Integrity took all the right steps with excellent tile work.
John made specialty drawers for the walk-in closet. We couldn’t be happier with the entire process from upfront discussions, contract, management, subcontractor use, and follow-up on punch list. We have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

- Cosmetic update: starting around $30,000
- Pull-and-replace remodel: starting around $60,000
- Custom layout redesign: starting around $120,000
- Cabinetry: This is usually the single biggest cost in any kitchen, and solid wood with custom features sits well above stock.
- Counters: A standard quartz and a premium named slab can differ by thousands, even at the same square footage.
- Layout changes: Moving the sink or stove means rerouting plumbing and electrical, which one recent project shows added $25,000.
- Appliances: A standard package is one thing; integrated panel-ready units and pro ranges are another.
- Flooring and lighting: Hardwood costs more than tile, and layered lighting costs more than a single fixture, but both change how the room feels.
Kitchen Projects That Stay on Schedule and Within Budget
Budget: Think of a remodeled kitchen as a daily-use upgrade rather than a one-time cost. The kitchen gets used multiple times a day, every day, for the next 15 to 20 years. Spread across that timeline, the investment becomes one of the best per-day-of-enjoyment decisions a homeowner makes.
Timeline: The team respects your space and your routine. Crews arrive when they say they will, keep the work area clean, and finish on the schedule mapped out during the consultation. Most full kitchen remodels wrap in 6 to 8 weeks of active construction, with the broader timeline (including design and permits) running up to 6 months.

Lake Monticello is a gated community in Fluvanna County, east of Charlottesville, built up over the decades since the 1970s as a mix of vacation homes and year-round residences. A lot of those original kitchens were builder-basic, which makes the area a steady source of remodeling work as long-term residents decide to invest in the homes they plan to keep. The Fluvanna County building department handles local permitting, and the Commonwealth of Virginia sets the residential code our work follows. Our office sits a short drive away on Berkmar Circle in Charlottesville.
